Q: Why didn't I receive a password after registration?
A: Passwords are issued by email, to the address provided on the registration form. If the address provided is incorrect, inactive or bogus, you will not receive a password. Re-register with a valid email address.

Q: When I login the forum returns an error saying "no such username".
A: Username must be the name chosen during registration. Check the username shown on your registration confirmation. Do not try to login using your email address; it will not work.
If you have not yet registered, do so before attempting login.

Q: My password isn't working.
A: Passwords are case sensitive. Make sure you entered the password correctly, matching upper and lowercase letters. The passwords issued at registration may contain upper and lower case letters, and dots ( . ). To ensure accurate entry, copy the password in the email and paste it into the password field of the Login Window.

Q: I lost my password.
A: Follow the 'Don't remember your password?' link on the login page to receive a new password. Login with the new password, and then you can change the password to something easier to remember.

Q: I can login successfully, but I find myself logged out when I come back or try to post.
A: You are automatically logged out after an extended period of inactivity. Login again. If you prefer, you can set your preference in 'User Menu' to always remain logged on.
If this does not resolve the problem, see the next question.

Q: No matter what I do, I am returned to same page.
This is due to internet settings in your PC. Check and adjust browser security levels (java and cookies), or firewall settings.
Other clues to cookie/permissions issues are:
- You've logged in, but your name does not appear in 'Who's Online'
- You've logged in, but forums all have blue folders () and all topics have colored new message indicators (, , ).

Q: I changed my settings, but still can't get around - what next?
A: Occasionally the cookie cache has to be emptied before the correct cookie can be saved. The cache can be emptied in Internet Explorer Tools, via Internet Options, "General" tab. Click on 'Delete cookies'. However, with Win2K and WinXP, it is possible for cookies to escape deletion using this medthod. If necessary, use Windows Explorer to search for files named 'cookie'. Delete all cookies that are not needed (including old cookies from the Forum!). Restart browser (or restart Windows), check to make sure your browser will accept a cookie from the site, and login.

Q: How do I change my username?
A: Usernames cannot be changed. Register again with a new username and new email address.

Q: How do I change my email address?
A: You can't. This is done by Forum Administration. Contact Admin to update your address.

Q: How do I change my password?
A: For the first login, the password generated by the forum must be used. After your initial login it can be changed at any time in the User Menu.
